Wow Me Again, Royal Caribbean!

So excited! I was asked by Royal Caribbeans social media management to comment on why my Family is Loyal to Royal and what keeps me so tuned in to Social Media

CruiseDivaNJ Stacey and Family as Royal Caribbean International's WOW of the Week!

Royal Caribbean WOW’s us time and time again! Our experiences on each Royal Caribbean cruise have been outstanding.

We started cruising with our children about 10-11 yrs ago; their first was on Celebrity Cruise Lines (Zenith, 2001), that was our second cruise. It has been 10-11 cruises since; all have been on Royal Caribbean! We are an active family of 4, our daughter is now 23 and our son is 19. In 2004 we sailed our first Voyager class ship, out of Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ- Voyager of the Seas- Voyagers First sail out of NJ. In 2006 we again sailed Voyager of the Seas, this time out of Florida and with my parents. Three generations and we were all WOW’d.  Each time my parents sailed with us, the Crew always made them feel special in some way or another. Throughout these years, the crew and staff always made my children feel like the Princess and Prince they are to us- in the main dining room knowing my children’s likes made arriving to our table a pleasant experience, always.

As an active and adventurous family, RC seemed to grow with us. Innovations like Rock climbing and ice skating at sea were made for my family. The sports court and games too. And, the Ports Of Call, well, for us they’re excellent! There was a cruise or two where our kids found it more important to spend time with their new friends then go to shows or other entertainment on board; appropriately so for their age bracket at the time. It was interesting to notice the transition when they started to “get into” going to the shows with their new friends and the following cruise how it morphed into planning to meet us to enjoy the shows together.  I call my kids cruise-kids, as they too love to cruise and get out there on the ocean. Meeting other kids their age from around the globe has always been a wonderful experience for them. Until just this year, June 2011/Oasis of the Seas- we sailed the Voyager-Class, mostly Explorer of the Seas because of the convenience for us; we live 40 minutes from Cape Liberty. For us, Cruising from our Home Port is a luxury.  We are picked up at our home, driven to the port, our driver handles the luggage and my Husband can relax.  My daughter and I typically carry on our formalwear, which we hang in our balcony cabin upon arrival. Balcony, Junior Suite, Promenade/Central Park for the kids, are our preferred cabins to travel in.

In 2007 we sailed Explorer of the Seas twice. But, our 12 night December 2007 Holiday Cruise was truly the most “MAGICAL” for me and started a tradition. It was our first sail longer than 9 nights which immediately made it special. But, for me the magic is being on board a RC Ship under the stars starting off a New Year. We met wonderful people on this particular sail that we will always keep in touch with.

In 2008 we celebrated my Parents Golden Anniversary on board Explorer of the Seas with a Vow Renewal in the beautiful Chapel. For my parents it was a surprise. Knowing my Dad would already have his tuxedo on board, we just needed to get a special gown on board for my mother. We conjured up a story that there was a special event of picture taking with the Captain for all the passengers on board celebrating their anniversaries. At home, we smuggled my Mother’s favorite gown out of her closet, into the gown bag and on board. The surprise and expression on her face when we walked the dress into their cabin was priceless.  As soon as we boarded we received a message from the coordinator of the vow renewal, my husband and I snuck away and met with her to discuss the events. My Dad was using an electric scooter on this cruise and all the arrangements were made to make sure he was able to get up to the chapel. Another magical cruise, we surprised my parents with a tour of the Bridge. The Master, Captain Sverre Ryan was more than gracious & personally showed my Dad around!  This is the most memorable cruise for me, since my Dad became sick and passed away just 2 years later.

Summer 2011, my family team embarks Oasis OTS, brought to us by our Son’s High School Graduation and his choice of which ship we sailed. I admit, loving the Voyager class size ship I was hesitant. We booked 1.5 yrs out. Only 4 mos.  prior did I become excited. I have to say that the Crew & staff exceeded expectations, as I thought this ship would be way too large for the wonderful service we’re accustomed to.  This was a first we also used My Time dining, which worked wonderfully! Everyone on board, staff & crew were excellent.  We absolutely loved the Diamond lounge, and commend the crew who were more than welcoming.

Asked what inspires me to be an active part of Royal Caribbeans Social Media campaign, well I have been involved in the social media arena for quite some time (a long time actually!),  I enjoy raving, bragging and promoting things I am passionate about. You guessed it, social media and blogging, cruising and Royal Caribbean are my passions. CruiseDivaNJ - Windsorcrowntravel.com
