Jersey Shore- Seafood #foodie Delight

When we need to be, by the sea...

Today we drove to the Jersey shore. Not too far a drive for us and we were really craving some good seafood. We went to Shore Fresh (Boro), forgetting there was also one in Pt. Pleasant at the beach. This is a seafood market & restaurant. We sat inside, but there is some outdoor covered seating too. The service is friendly. The atmosphere comfortable with good rock playing in the background.  Do not expect fine china here, you go for the food. 

I like their approach to cooking fish and the dishes we have had here. Simple, using fresh ingredients. I enjoy listening to the guys behind the counter interact with customers buying fish. The best line of course,"that was in the ocean yesterday".

I do not often eat pasta. This was worth eating.





Shark Bites. Tasty. We really enjoyed these, but I did not think it paired well with ranch dressing. It needs a fruity dunk or fruity drizzle.  I'm coming back for these soon!
(I hear it is shark week, hehe sorry you lose.)

Fried Calamar i.. Probably the best we have had. Not in the least bit does this have a rubber or chewy bite. It is soft and flavorful and without any heavy seasoning. We have enjoyed this here before. It never disappoints.

My tomato fell out onto my plate. For me, this was a good thing.

The French Fries here are even excellent. 

Hand-cut, not greasy, not salty, the perfect frites.

Let's start off by making Spring Rolls.

Then we prepare the goat cheese for the goat cheese salad.

We will be seasoning the baby lamb chops and filet mignon and then cooking with a flambe finale.
